----CCB Leading Members inspect Financial Services for the Olympics in Branches
CCB leading members, including Chairman Guo Shuqing, President Mr. Zhang Jianguo and Chairman of the Board of Supervisors Xie Duyang, recently visited the bank’s branches and sub-branches to inspect the preparation works of financial services for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, demanding further enhancement in service quality, service standard and management standards, in order to display to the world a desirable corporate image.
Valuing highly the financial services for the Olympics, CCB party committees mobilized the entire bank’s staff to provide quality financial services for the Olympics and Paralympics Games. The "Olympic Service and Safety Operation Steering Committee" has been set up. This committee is headed by CCB President Zhang Jianguo and assisted by Vice-presidents Luo Zhefu, Xin Shusen, Chen Zuofu, Fan Yifei and Zhu Xiaohuang as deputies, and the Bank has designated 2008 as “Olympics Service Year”, implementing effective measures and preparing in a grand scale in civil practices, service innovations, environment construction, system security and professional training in accordance with the standardised requirements laid by regulatory institutions Includeing the China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC).
Recently, CCB has held an Olympic Service and Safety Operation Initiation Conference (Audio-visual) in which Mr. Guo appealed the entire staff to get ready for the Games and President Zhang Jianguo made actual arrangements in financial services for the Olympics and operation safety for the entire Bank. Mr. Zhang has called for a comprehensive information system emergency response organization and information system risk management planning, so as to ensure a steady operation of the information system during the Games. Mr. Zhang has also called for cincrete actions to ensure smooth financial services for the Olympics as well as risk prevention.
Accompanied by vice-president Zhu Xiaohuang, director of retail business Du Yejun and members of the Borard, Mr. Guo visited the AnHui, AnHua and BaoLi subbranches and the bank's first private branch for inspection in the afternoon of 17 July.
Mr. Guo and the rest inspected the foreign language services provided by the staff, the business English signs in the subbranches, sales of wealth management products and the 95533 direct customer service hotline services. Mr. Guo stressed a practical and detailed manner is demanded in performing every type of services, and an uniformed and harmonic environment for customer experience is ought to be created, by putting clear directions respectively to currency exchange services, barrier-free accesses, customer services hotline, counters giving priority to the disabled, the floor manager office and the queueing system in the entire operation network. Mr. Guo further pointed out that careful planning is required in subbranches in which competitions are to be held and key tourist and coastal cities; CCB's brand image is to be promoted through the enhanced public relations management, media promotion as well as product sales, with protecting intellectual property rights related to the Olympic Games as the prerequisite. In the newly opened private banking branch, Mr. Guo suggested a number of improvements in the hope of reflecting CCB's quality services through the attention to detail and thus sharpening the bank's competitive edge.
On 21 July, President Zhang and Vice-president Zhu visited CCB Yangqiao Building in Beijing to inspect the preparation work of technology security during the Games. Mr. Zhang emphasised the importance of the technological team of staff's understanding and their efforts in strengthening the communication and coordination with relevant departments, as well as their being proactive in their work, in order to ensure a steady running of the system during the Games.
During his visit in Qinghai, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors Xie Duyang expressed his wish for the Qinghai subbranch to make the most of the Olympics and organically combine the business development of the bank with the region’s economic development, so as to contribute in pushing he economical development of Qinghai to the direction to one that is conscious of resource conservation and environmental friendly.
Vice-president Chen Zuofu visited the savings offices and wealth management centres in Shenyang and Dalian, Liaoning to inspect and discuss on the operation network’s preparation work on financial services for the Olympics and learn of the relevant arrangements, measures and emergency responses that ensure service guarantees for the Games. Mr. Chen encouraged the staff to further enhance the Bank’s quality of service.
